Cup Day lunches across ten rooms, with sweeps, best-dressed prizes and the race showing on the big screen.
The first Tuesday in November clears most Sydney diaries, and ten venues set a table for it: a shared banquet on the wharf at Akti, and three-course sittings at Sails, The Fenwick, Ventuno, The James, Summer Salt, Riva, Ripples Rose Bay, Ripples Chowder Bay and Ripples Little Manly.
Each room prices its own afternoon, from $115 to $195 a head, and every menu includes a glass of champagne. Akti, Riva and Ripples Rose Bay have a DJ to carry the rest of the day.
Sweeps and best-dressed prizes come as standard. Pick the room and book the sitting.
